Playa Blanca Information
Playa Blanca is the latest resorts Lanzarote has to offer. Playa Blanca, much like Puerto Del Carmen started life off as a small fishing village but as tourism on the Island has increased, Playa Blanca has increased in size to become a large
and thriving resorts. Within this resort, there are now many 4 and 5 star hotels along with a large selection of villas for tourists to stay at.
Building in and around Playa Blanca is what many people will see when they first arrive, the area which is still mainly undeveloped is making way for many new houses, hotels and business. One of the main new attractions within Playa Blanca is the new
marina, Marina Rubicon. The harbour is the nicest harbour within Lanzarote and home to some of the largest and most expensive boats on the Island.
Marina Rubicon is also home to many of the new excursions, restaurants and bars in Playa Blanca.
Some future plans for Playa Blanca will be a new Golf Course which will hopefully be build near Marina Rubicon within the next few years. This will mean that each of the 3 main resorts within Lanzarote has there own Golf Course.
Playa Blanca is known as being the most friendly when it comes to disabled access, with the area being flat and a lot of the new bars/restaurants/Hotels being subjected to new laws enforcing ramp access, this resort is ideal for family's that have children or someone in a wheel
chair.
The night life in Playa Blanca is not as good as Puerto Del Carmen, with many of the bar closing quite early but there is still a very good choice of bars with and without live music which will suit almost everyone.
